Access Points are dedicated WiFi devices used to deliver enhanced WiFi across a facility, to reach all areas needing wireless connectivity, with WiFi strength beyond what is possible with WiFi repeaters. This technology, common is large companies and colleges and universities, is now available for smaller business and SMBs looking for strong WiFi in their facilities. Aruba Instant On is the business-class Access Point (AP) solution for you.
The AP11D model is unique within the Instant On AP lineup in that it has one uplink port and three downlink Ethernet ports to connect to other devices. It is best used “in room” with its desktop or “in wall” setup. It also can be used in ieu of a local router, with its uplink port connected to an Internet modem and its downlink ports providing network connectivity. Aruba Instant On AP models can be mixed in the same network. Instant On APs work together in concert, with shared security access and presenting a common network across your facility. Setting up employee and guest networks is a breeze.

- Aruba Instant On AP11D Desk/Wall Access Points deliver affordable, business-grade Wave 2 802.11ac Wi-Fi for low- to medium-density small business environments. They are a perfect choice for delivering in-room Wi-Fi connectivity in offices, hospitality locations like hotel guest rooms, medical clinics, and Airbnb located in the same premises as your main network. Industry-leading 2-year warranty and no extra licensing fees
- Get setup and running in minutes with the Aruba Instant On Cloud app management system. The cloud-hosted web interface and mobile app make it easy to manage multiple Aruba Instant On APs deployed in your facility, keeping network access logins and security settings consistent.
- Powering: AP11D APs require Power over Ethernet (802.3at Class 4 PoE+) or Aruba’s specific 48V power adapter. 802.3af PoE alone is not sufficient for full functionality, notably PoE-out on downlink ports. Also available is model R2X15A that is just the unit, only recommended if you plan to attach to a PoE+ capable Ethernet switch.
- Mounting: AP11D APs come with a desktop stand and an ‘in-wall” mount for a typical power outlet junction box.
- Performance: Specified hardware for 867 Mbps on 5 GHz (.11ac) | 300 Mbps on 2.4 GHz (.11n) | Total 1167 Mbps throughput | Unit has one Gigabit 100/1000 uplink connection and three Gigabit local ports for connecting other devices. | recommended for up to 50 max active devices.
